SUMMARY:2016 Inspiring YOUth Prom Program
DESCRIPTION:Each year Inspiring HANDS\, together with local businesses\, sponsors up to ten (10) seniors from a partnering high school within the greater Houston / Harris County area to attend their Senior Prom. Recipients enter to win complete prom packages including prom tickets\, a gown/tuxedo\, flowers\, hair\, nails and more complimentary of our local business partners. Recipients are awarded based on financial and/or special needs. \n  \nOur 2016 partnering high school is Cypress Fairbanks High School.\nApplicants may enter to win and review a complete list of rules by clicking here for a Fillable Entry Form for Inspiring YOUTH Prom 2016 . With prom season behind us\, many retailers have dresses and prom jewelry on clearance. We would love for you to go shopping for us. We have to re-stock our plus sized gowns every year. If you have an idea of how we can accumulate more sizes in 18-26\, please let us know. We would like to increase our selection\, and we need your help to make this happen.\nDo you have a fundraiser idea for us? We completely operate on donations\, so we’d love to hear how you might be able to help us acquire more funds!\nWe seek sponsorships all year. Please let us know if you or a friend has a business connection and would like to partner with us for Boutique Day 2016.\nWe also seek beauty supplies for our princess swag bags. SUMMARY:Camp Blessing Needs Volunteers for the 2016 Camp Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We will need you in 2016!  Apply online starting Mid-November (note: be sure to “Check out your Cart” upon completion of application or we will not see your application)\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVOLUNTEER\n\n\nVolunteer Training is their first day of each camp\, campers arrive the following day. COST is $135 each term for Volunteers.\n\n\nCamp Dates:(NOTE: Volunteers arrive a day earlier)\nVolunteers serve 6 days. Volunteer SOTK Training on the first day.  Campers attend 5 days. \n\nTerm 1 SOTK\, June 9-14th\, Campers arrive 10th at East Texas Baptist Encampment.\nTerm 2 SOTK\, June 15-20th\, Campers arrive 16th at East Texas Baptist Encampment.\nTerm 3 SOTK\, June 27-July 2nd\, Campers arrive 28th\, at Camp Holy Wild.\nTerm 4 SOTK\, July 4-9th\, Campers arrive 5th\, at Camp Holy Wild (“Sibling Week” –Special Campers come with sibling campers).\nTerm 5 SOTK\, July 11-16th\, Campers arrive 12th\, at Camp Holy Wild  “Adult Week”.\nTerm 6 SOTK\, July 18-23rd\, Campers arrive 19th\, at Camp Holy Wild.\nTerm 7 SOTK\, July 25- 30th\, Campers arrive 26th\, at Camp Holy Wild.\nTerm 8 SOTK\, Aug 1-Aug 6th\, Campers arrive 2nd\, at Camp Holy Wild.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur need for enthusiastic\, patient and loving volunteers is great – and the time you serve will be very rewarding. It’s a potentially life-changing experience.\n\n\n\n\n\nCounselor (age 16-26) – provide one-on-one care with one of our campers\nJr.  Counselor (age 15) – assist counselors with campers\nBarnstormer (age 13-15) – serve on a fun team that helps with meals and cleaning.\nNurses and Doctors\nCabin Mom/Dad (age 26+) – general support for camper cabins \nIt’s only $135 to serve for a week of camp. (this does not even cover what we pay for your bed and meals). \n\n\n\n\nAPPLY ONLINE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSTAFF\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re looking for a select group of people\, mostly college-aged\, who are growing in their relationship with the Lord. These candidates have leadership skills and a servant heart – with the ability to commit to June and July preferred. This paid position will require some additional training time. To apply for any volunteer or staff position\, click below on the “apply now”. Primarily we need Cabin Leaders – leading and discipling a cabin of campers and volunteers. Other important positions include photography\, videography\, special diets cook/orginizer\, and clinic.\n\n\n\n\n\nSTAFF TRAINING will usually be the first week of June. (for full time summer Staff\, NOT volunteer SOTK’s) \nSummer Staff Positions (may be placed in several or just one depending on needs each week):\nBarnstormer Leader – Head of the Barnstormers aka Kitchen Krew.  Lead and disciple 13-16 yr olds as they serve in the kitchen\, wait tables\, clean camp and hang out.  Teaching them to serve as unto the Lord.\nCabin Leader – two cabin leaders are assigned to each cabin of campers and volunteers.  Cabin Leaders will lead bible studies\, disciple\, encourage\, have fun\, keep campers safe\, train volunteers etc.\nPhoto – take photos daily of each camper to organize and handout to counselors\, helping them create a unique photo book for each camper to take home.\nVideo – shoot video/edit/screen and make a 12-20min DVD to send home with campers each week.  Should have multiple shots of campers.  Duplicate DVD to send home.\nClinic – Help run clinic\, train nurse volunteers on our med system\, assist campers as needed.  Must at least have advanced CPR.  Not required to be an RN.\nSpecial Diets – plan and prepare meals for dietary allergies and restrictions for all campers\, volunteers and any staff.\nActivity Leader – some are Lifeguard\, Ropes Certified\, but all are ready and willing to lead any activity.  Leading includes insuring safety\, encouraging All to participate\, keeping order while having a blast and teaching a biblical truth based on experience.\nWorship Leader – gifted and experience at leading worship\nStaff Kids – care for the director children and possibly volunteer nurses children.\nLeadership Team – Preferably returning staff who want to step up to more of a leadership position that begins planning camp several months prior to summer.  Discuss with Glen or Laura if you have questions or interest. \n\n\n\n\nAPPLY ONLINE
