A Successful Kickoff for Inspiring HANDS

February 2015 Tomball / Houston, TX – Inspiring HANDS, Inc., a new Texas nonprofit organization, held their Kickoff Celebration on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Vintage Wine Styles at 10300 Louetta Road in Houston. Individual and business members of the community were welcome and present.

Inspiring HANDS’s mission is to motivate partnerships within our community to extend a hand, directly, to others who are in need. Programs such as volunteer opportunities, immediate needs assistance, Inspiring Youth events and Campership Awards – each benefiting those with financial and special needs – are the main focus of the organization.

“Inspiring HANDS is you. It is your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and employers and places that you do business with. Without you, the Inspiring HANDS vision is not possible. It is about partnerships and helping those in need at whatever level of participation you are able to give,” said Susan Lutz, President of the organization. “We refer to the famous quote by Paul Shane Spear: ‘I cannot change the world; but I can change the world of one person.’”

The vision of building partnerships has already become reality through the launch of the Inspiring YOUth Prom ’15 Program, which has bridged the gap between those in need to those with means. Inspiring HANDS is offering juniors and seniors within the Tomball Independent School District, who have financial and special needs, an opportunity to win one of ten complete Prom packages that include a complimentary gown/tuxedo, flowers, manicure and pedicure, hair cut/style and tickets to the Prom and after-Prom events. Inspiring YOUth Prom sponsors include Al’s Formal Wear- Willowbrook, Bloomers Florist, Flamingo Nails, Trendsetters Hair Care Studio of Tomball and The Giving Gown Foundation of Houston, Texas.

Campership Awards provide individuals with financial and special needs within our community the opportunity to attend summer camp; an opportunity that they may otherwise not have. The 2015 camp partners are Camp Blessing and Camp Bethesda, both of Tomball, Texas.

Inspiring HANDS will be holding their first Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction on Thursday, April 2nd at Houston National Golf Course. Your support of a donation, sponsorship, team registration, items for the auction or attendance of the event will provide the funds needed to support these programs.
