2015 Annual Report

Message from the President

Dear friends,

It has truly an honor to serve as President of the Inspiring HANDS Board of Directors since its foundation in the Fall of 2014. Through my involvement I, and all others who work with Inspiring HANDS, have become increasingly aware of the great need within our community. In just five short months of existence Inspiring HANDS fulfilled its mission to extend a hand directly to twenty-one individuals in need. In just over one year we made a positive change in the lives of well over a hundred individuals.  This was made possible through the Inspiring HANDS Awards and Immediate Needs programs, which is funded by our donors, and the caring and hard working individuals who make up the board and volunteer committees. Without whom none of this would be possible.

The mission of Inspiring HANDS is to extend a hand directly to make a difference in lives of others in need. Our vision is to motivate partnerships within our community. We do this through volunteering, community service and through our immediate needs and annual awards program which benefit individuals of all ages with financial and special needs. Our programs include the following:

Campership and Ridership Awards – provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages with financial and special needs to attend summer camps and therapeutic equestrian centers that specialize in meeting their needs. Donations support tuition costs and provide therapeutic supports and adaptive recreation, with a focus on cultivating skills and values needed for success.

Immediate Needs – in keeping with the vision to motivate partnerships within our community we remain constantly involved with local immediate needs. This has included volunteering at local boys and girls homes, food drives, collecting donated items for area woman’s shelters, holiday drives for youth and families in need, regular participation in activities with seniors, support of honor trips to Washing D.C. for WWII Veterans, assisting area flood victims, and much more.

Inspiring HANDS is operated 100% by volunteers and fully funded by donations. Therefore, your support is critical to the success of our programs. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to the 2016 season. Please join us for our Come Together Extravaganza on October 28, 2016. Not only will you enjoy a fun filled evening but you will learn more about Inspiring HANDS and how your involvement directly improves the lives of others.

Sincerely,

Susan C. Lutz, President
